To be listed on our website, each university must have a policy that addresses key protections for pregnant and parenting students, or sign the pledge below:

Pro-Parent Campus Pledge

We are committed to promoting policies and practices that meaningfully assist parenting students in continuing their education while caring for their families.

We believe that all pregnant and parenting students should be encouraged in their personal, educational, and career goals.

Together, we can and will create a supportive school community where all students can succeed.

We agree to the following pledge commitments:

We will ensure parenting students have meaningful and sustained access to education.

We will define, promote and advocate for policies and practices that focus on accommodations to pregnant and parenting students as a means of retaining these students at our universities.

We will inform our students about supportive resources for pregnancy and parenting.

We will work with Pro-Parent Campus to establish a Pregnant and Parenting Student Accommodations Policy on all our campuses.

We expressly Pledge that we will not:

Require pregnant or parenting students to limit their studies

Require pregnant or parenting students to take a leave of absence

Require withdrawal from the institution due to pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions

Require pregnant students to find separate housing when they already reside in student housing

Require pregnant students to find separate health insurance coverage

Discontinue the pregnant student’s scholarship, fellowship, or similar university-sponsored funding solely due to pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions

Harass, retaliate against, or otherwise interfere with a pregnant student’s ability to exercise her rights on campus
